The Cincinnati Bengals are in elite company right now, in that they are one of only four undefeated teams in the NFL. But it always seems that they are nowhere to be heard from in the second round of the playoffs. On Thursday night they are going to be faced with a Cleveland Browns team that often hangs in very tough but will be going with a substitute quarterback and has holes in the secondary. It all begins at 8:25 PM ET at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, and as Vietbet customers are watching the game on CBS, they can place their wagers against the NFL odds in real-time through the considerable facilities of Live Betting Extra.

No, many people are not going too crazy about what the Bengals are doing on their way to a 7-0 start, and maybe one of the reasons for that is history. This team has made the playoffs six different times under head coach Marvin Lewis, and has lost in the first post-season game (wild card round) every time. What might be a little different here is the way this team has performed against the number. Cincy is a sizzling 6-0-1 versus the football pointspread.

There is also a difference in the way Andy Dalton has played. If you were to pick the MVP of the AFC, he wouldn’t be too far behind Tom Brady right now. Dalton has been as maligned as his teammates for playoff non-performance, so some people are taking this with a grain of salt. But there is no way to ignore his numbers, in which he has thrown 15 TD passes with just four interceptions and has an 8.6-yard average per pass. That’s impressive for a guy who has never been known for getting the ball “down the field.” And it’s a higher number than he has produced in his four previous seasons.

Josh McCown appears to be out of this game with rib injuries that have reportedly (well, actually reported by HIM) made it hard for him to breathe and to sleep. So now it is Johnny Manziel, who seems to know the offense better than he did last year but is still grappling with maturity issues. He is 56% accurate on the season (28 of 50) and has fumbled four times (losing two of them).

As it concerns this particular analysis, Vietbet patrons need to be made aware (if they don’t remember it) of the encounter Manziel had against the Bengals last season, when he completed 10 of 18 passes for 80, was intercepted twice and sacked three times in the 30-0 shutout. In that game, Travis Benjamin, who connected with Manziel for two TD’s in an earlier win over Tennessee, was targeted only once.

The secondary is also a big potential problem for the Browns. Cornerback Joe Haden and safety Donte Whitmer are out of this game with concussion problems, and obviously that is going to put some pressure on the Browns because with Dalton, it’s no longer a matter of just finding AJ Green. Tight end Tyler Eifert (32 receptions, six TD’s) has made a big difference on this offense, as has been a healthy Marvin Jones (333 yards).
