Panthers vs Seahawks on SNF December 3rd, 2016 – Week 13 NFL Betting Preview

Panthers vs Seahawks on SNF December 3rd, 2016 Week 13 NFL Betting PreviewThere is no doubt that the Carolina Panthers are very disappointed after losing last week’s game in Oakland, as they had made a monster comeback and looked like they had things going their way. Now, with a 4-7 record, they are all but eliminated from the NFC playoff race. What will be the psychological effect as they encounter the Seattle Seahawks, who are not only looking for some payback for last year’s NFC Divisional playoff game, but are also a little ornery after an absolute non-performance of the road last week? This game will get underway at 8:30 PM ET at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, and as NBC televises the game, VietBet customers can place their wagers in real time, challenging the NFL betting odds to the state-of-the-art software made available from Live Betting Ultra.

Panthers vs Seahawks – CJ’s Take:

Carolina scored 25 consecutive points to take a lead against the Raiders last Sunday, and the opposing quarterback, Derek Carr, had injured his finger on his throwing hand, so things looked good. But then Oakland tied it up and surged ahead to win a 35-32 decision. The Panthers stayed on the West Coast, working out in San Jose, so they have minimized travel. But that loss has to stay with them. And you have to wonder about the psychology of this team now being longshots at best after three straight division titles and a trip to the Super Bowl last year. Head coach Ron Rivera says his team has “a glimmer of hope.” Do they?

Seattle’s performance at Tampa Bay was dreadful last Sunday. It looked like they rolled over completely. They could manage only 246 yards in the 14-5 defeat, and the offensive line allowed Russell Wilson to be sacked six times. Wilson actually had to come up with the running game all by himself, gaining 80 yards on eight attempts, as Thomas Rawls struggled with 38 yards. Wilson also threw two interceptions in that game after throwing only two INT’s in his previous ten outings. So as you can imagine, this is a club that will be in a nasty mood. And losing that game to the Bucs was a little out of character for them, because they have been known as a crew that comes on the second half of the season (covering 16 of their last 22 from November forward).

VietBet patrons who look at the injury report will notice that help could well be on the way. Safety Earl Thomas and cornerback DeShaun Shead should play here, after sitting out last week. And Michael Bennett, who has been out a month after arthroscopic knee surgery, has been practicing and could be ready to go. This comes at a good time, because Seattle has some bitter memories over what happened to them in last year’s Divisional Round playoff game, as they went down 31-0 at the half (after two Wilson interceptions) and despite a furious second-half comeback, fell short.

Meanwhile, the Panthers are hoping and praying that Luke Kuechly, the All-Pro linebacker, might be able to return, but he has not practiced in the early part of the week. He was still in the concussion protocol as of this writing, as was safety Kurt Coleman. Center Ryan Kalil has been put on the injured reserve, so the Panthers hope they don’t have to limp down the stretch. Can they run the ball? Jonathan Stewart had 96 yards last week against Oakland, but the Seattle defense is a different story altogether. The Seahawks have allowed only 3.5 yards per carry, so in all likelihood, reigning MVP Cam Newton will have to put together better numbers than the 14-for-28 he had against the Raiders’ secondary last week.
