The Carolina Panthers have obviously done great work this season, but there is still some more work to do, as they haven’t even wrapped up the #1 seed in the NFC quite yet. It looked like it was going to be a titanic battle in the NFC South, as both of these teams started out 5-0. But then the wheels came off for Atlanta, which lost seven of its next eight games and went on a nine-game string without a pointspread cover. Last week they came out of Jacksonville with a 23-17 win, but in the game before that they were decimated by this Carolina team, turning the ball over four times and being held to just 230 yards of offense in a 30-0 shutout defeat. They had a close call against the Giants, and also three weeks ago against New Orleans.
