The Cowboys, as you probably know, have been going without quarterback Tony Romo, who was out for most of last season and was the source of much optimism as he came into training camp healthy. But then he broke a bone in his back, leaving things in the hands of rookie Dak Prescott, who was drafted in the fourth round out of Mississippi State. Prescott was hardly unknown; in fact, there were times when he was considered the Heisman Trophy front-runner while quarterbacking the highly -ranked Bulldogs. But he was not considered the most NFL-ready quarterback in the draft. One has to admit, however, that he has taken to the pro game right away, beginning with his pre-season appearances and continuing through the regular season, when he has experienced a baptism under fire. Through five games, four of which have been Dallas victories, Prescott has completed 69% of his passes and has not yet been intercepted in 155 attempts. That is nothing short of astonishing. And this team seems to get better and better. Last week they blew the Cincinnati Bengals off the ball, getting out to a 28-0 lead and then coasting in the second half to a two-touchdown victory.

It has not hurt Prescott that he has gotten a sensational season of support out of his fellow rookie. Ezekiel Elliott, who was drafted early in the first round out of Ohio State, has been sensational, leading the league with 546 yards. It looks as if he will easily eclipse the all-time franchise record for rookie, which is currently held by Tony Dorsett. In between Prescott and Elliott, this team has converted 50% of its third-down situations, which is best in the NFL.

Dez Bryant, the Pro Bowl wide receiver, has been out of action for the most part. He expects to return to the lineup this weekend, but Prescott has developed a special rapport with his slot receiver, Cole Beasley, who has caught 27 passes for 332 yards. And of course, tight end Jason Witten is always a safe outlet (24 receptions, 232 yards).

VietBet customers have heard from basically everywhere that Dallas has the best offensive line in the league, and that line will be put to the test against Green Bay, for certain. That is because the Packers have allowed only 2 yards per rushing attempt and 43 rushing yards per game, and those figures are best in the NFL. It is in the secondary where there are some question marks. Green Bay has suffered some attrition back there, particularly with corners Sam Shields and Demarious Randall, both of whom missed the last game against the New York Giants. That left LaDarius Gunter in a situation where he had to cover Odell Beckham, and he did a good enough job that the Packers came away with a victory. Now, if Bryant plays, that will be his assignment.
