You have to give the Eagles a lot of credit for gutting one out last week in Los Angeles, as they allowed the Rams to pull ahead in the third quarter, and then again in the final period, and lost their quarterback on top of that, only to capture a 43-35 victory in the end. Carson Wentz had been having an MVP-type season, with 33 touchdown passes against only seven interceptions, but he tore his ACL and had to give way to veteran Nick Foles. That didn’t seem to be a huge problem last Sunday, as Foles came in and directed this team on a few scoring drives, but the long-term effect is yet to be known. We will say this much about Foles – in his first tour of duty with the Eagles, he established what was then a league record for TD-INT ratio, throwing 27 touchdown passes with just two picks.
