Bears Ravens Odds – Week 6 NFL Betting Preview

Mike Glennon was too erratic for the Bears to deal with, so Trubisky, the second overall pick in the draft, was called upon, and passed for 122 yards in what turned out to be a 20-17 loss. But they like to do with him is to cut down on turnovers, because Chicago doesn’t seem to be able to take the ball away from the opponent. The secondary has yet to make an interception, and this might be somewhat inviting for Joe Flacco, who had his best game of the year last week in a 30-17 victory over the Oakland Raiders.

The Ravens, who have not gotten very good quarterback play out of the former Super Bowl MVP, are still tied atop the AFC North with a 3-2 record (also 3-2 ATS), and they know that Pittsburgh has a date with the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs this week.

Baltimore has gotten mixed results out of its running game, but they have gotten some explosive runs out of Alex Collins, the second-year man out of Arkansas who is averaging 7.1 yards per carry. Collins is not consistent, however, and has shown a tendency to fumble the ball, so Buck Allen will continue as the featured back, more than likely. He averages just 3.5 yards a pop. Flacco has thrown six interceptions and has averaged less than six yards per attempt, and those aren’t numbers that are going to win on most days. But he has some defense behind him; the Ravens have been very solid in the secondary, holding opposing quarterbacks to just 54% completions, and they have nine interceptions, along with 12 quarterback sacks. The Ravens have also won their last ten games against rookie quarterbacks, which might mean something here.

So what can the Bears do? That’s a good question for VietBet patrons to ask. Well, Baltimore isn’t necessarily defending against the run as well as they have in the recent past, and the Bears definitely have to be able to move the football over land. Jordan Howard has been decent enough, and then there is the change of pace offered by rookie Tarik Cohen. A successful running game would certainly help Trubisky, who may have provided some energy but still completed just 12 of his 25 passes last week.

Chicago has to get his defense off the field, however; they have allowed 45.5% on third down, and in their two road games, they have been outscored by a 64-21 margin. They have been a little thin at the receiver position, and that comes partially as a result of injuries during training camp, most notably to former first-round draft pick Kevin White. But if they can keep the ball on the ground and move the chains to just a moderate degree, they might be able to keep things competitive.
